Struck by the Perth Mint from 99.9% pure silver in proof quality, this exclusive Coin Show Special issue portrays the grace and majesty of an Australian black swan in flight by Andor Meszaros (1900-1972).The coin was suggested by the artist i 1966 for the reverse of Australia’s new 20 cent decimal coin. Although it wasn’t selected, the image is fondly remembered by many for it’s appearance on the obverse of Australia’s legendary, but unofficial, 1967 “Goose” Dollar.
Just 2500 were released by the Perth Mint at the 2009 ANDA Coin Show which was held at the Gold Coast.
