The Reasons Behind Stamp Collecting
A postage stamp is an historical record of events happening over many decades and even centuries, in a country. With online catalogues making it easier to research the different stamps. you’ll find that you’ll get so involved you’ll wonder where the day or night has gone. It certainly isn’t boring, in fact it stimulates the brain in ways you wouldn’t believe. There is the visual, the art, the geographical and of course the historial facts. Great stress reliever too – many of our customers do it for just that. Some prefer the more serious side of creating a complete collection of a country’s stamp issues in mint condition (stamps which still have the full gum and haven’t been postally used). Collecting used stamps has enjoyed a resurgence as it’s a more cost effective way of putting a collection together. It’s the hunt that get’s most people for those stamps they’re missing. It’s addictive but it’s great!
