
Australian Dollar Coins

First introduced on the 14th May 1984 to replace the $1 paper note which had been in circulation since the change over to Decimal Currency in 1966. The first dollars featured the iconic “Mob of Roos” but in later years there have been many commemorative dollars issued as well as the “Mob of Roos”
Compostion: 92% copper, 6% aluminium, 2% nickel. Weight: 9 grams: Diameter: 25 mm: Edge:Interupted milling.
