This note was the first of it’s kind in the world in that it was printed on polymer (plastic) incorporating technology devised and developed in Australia. The technology was developed by the Reseve Bank and the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) for the Note Printing branch of the Reserve Bank at Craigieburn Victoria.
