The first release in this cute series depicts a baby kookaburra. The kookaburra is a kingfisher native to Australia and best known for its unmistakable call, which sounds uncannily like human laughter.
This beautiful bird is believed to mate for life, and when coupled, both male and female of the species share the incubation duties of their unhatched eggs. Territorial, but with a distinct social order, kookaburras in the same family group share the parenting duties.
